The crowd seem to be enjoying Gagnon's choice of entrance music: Hand Clap by Fitz and the Tantrums. Gavin Gagnon has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gagnon throws a body punch but Lee moves out of range.
Gagnon tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lee sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gagnon somewhat.
Gagnon uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lee.
Gagnon is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Gagnon fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Lee tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
A head kick misses from Gagnon.
It looked like Lee wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Lee bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gagnon is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Lee is looking for a kimura but Gagnon is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Lee to get the leverage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lee is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Gagnon gets back to full guard.

Lee drops back looking for a leg! Gagnon is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Gagnon manages to kick Lee off! Lee jumps back into Gagnon's guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Gagnon is trying to control the position but Lee postures up.
Lee stands and throws Gagnon's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Gagnon is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Lee off and has taken his back!

Gagnon has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Lee! Can he survive? No! He's out! Gagnon gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
