Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bunny Anstey (ranked 168 p4p, 27 weight class) and Vandall Savage (ranked 1227 p4p, 158 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anstey staying out of range there.
Anstey lands with a cross.

It looks like Vandall Savage has been cut.
Savage stuffs the takedown.
Anstey throws a head kick that misses.
Anstey scores with a hook.
Anstey dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Savage just misses with a punch to the body.

Savage shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Savage showed some decent athleticism there.
Anstey trying to hold on to Savage's head to control him but Savage postures up.
Savage thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Savage landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Savage comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Savage looks to land a right hand but Anstey moved out of range.
Bunny Anstey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Savage just misses with a punch to the body.
Nice uppercut lands for Savage. That snapped Anstey's head back.

Savage misses with a looping right.
Anstey throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Savage's waist but Savage gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Anstey off to one side.
The fighters circling - Anstey throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Anstey will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Savage is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Anstey.

Savage lands a big uppercut and Anstey crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Anstey looks OK. Savage waves Anstey back to his feet!

Bunny Anstey's cut is getting worse.
Anstey shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Savage sprawls well. Savage wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Anstey gets slowly back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vandall Savage dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
