Coming up we have a light heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Judas Priest (ranked 3325 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cleon Wright (ranked 1279 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

In the red corner, competing out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Judas Priest! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Cleon Wright!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Ivan Kurochkin and Dmitry Maklakov.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Wright clinches up with Priest and pushes him back against the cage.
Wright drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Priest gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Wright goes for a takedown attempt but Priest pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Wright instigates a clinch.
Priest is pressed up against the cage. Wright has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Priest down to the mat. Priest avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Judas Priest has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cleon Wright.

Wright gets tackled into the cage by Priest. Priest maintains the clinch.

Priest lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Wright wants to control but Priest is keeping busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Priest performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wright works his way to full guard. Good work.
Priest trying to control but Wright is working from the bottom.

Priest preventing the sweep.
Wright is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
We've been hearing good reports from Priest's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Priest trying to control but Wright is working from the bottom.
Priest won't allow Wright to sweep him here.
Our spies down at at The Coffee Shop inform us that Wright has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
Priest wants to control from the top but Wright keeps moving.
Wright is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Priest drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Wright manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Priest has Wright in his guard.

Priest is trying to control the position but Wright postures up.

Priest is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Wright defends well.

Priest looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Wright got a little sloppy there for a moment and Priest has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wright has managed to get both his arms back between Priest's legs - danger averted.
Wright wants to pass the guard but Priest is keeping the position.
Wright sitting in guard, not really doing much.

Priest has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Wright should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Priest has tightened it up now! Wright should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Judas Priest!
In his post fight interview, Judas Priest started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
