Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kimmo Kallio (ranked 22821 p4p, 547 weight class) and Jager Gutsovis (ranked 7535 p4p, 535 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some bone on bone action there as Gutsovis checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Kallio lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Gutsovis shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Kallio is trying to escape back to his feet but Gutsovis uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Gutsovis stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Kallio stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kallio wants it to stay on the feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

As Gutsovis backs away, Kallio returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

Gutsovis tries to bum rush Kallio with a series of wild strikes but Kallio uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gutsovis closes the distance and clinches up with Kallio, looking for a takedown. Gutsovis pushes Kallio against the ropes but Kallio circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
The fighters circle, before Kallio throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Gutsovis's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Kallio lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
