The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Lorlek has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Yaw-Yan MMA in the buildup to the fight.
Jones throws a poor cross that misses
and Lorlek connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Lorlek slips under a jab from Jones.
Jones is looking to land body kicks.
John Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lorlek uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jones.
Jones throws a body kick that misses.
Lorlek throws a body shot but no joy.
Donk. Jones catches Lorlek right on the button with a cross.
Lorlek bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Jones throws a head kick but Lorlek moves out of range.
Lorlek lands a head shot.
Jones gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Lorlek.
Jones slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Jones misses with a shot to the body
enabling Lorlek to counter with a crisp jab.
Jones thows a body kick. Lorlek tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Jones throws a head kick that misses.
Lorlek lunges at Jones with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Jones's hand.
Lorlek ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Lorlek misses with a straight left.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jones misses with a leg kick
and Lorlek counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Jones swings for the body but Lorlek moves out of range.
Jones swings away with a body shot that misses
enabling Lorlek to counter with a crisp jab.

Jones cracks Lorlek with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Lorlek looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Jones finish him?

Lorlek is rocked!
Lorlek is breathing heavily.
Lorlek walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Lorlek limp body while Jones jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). John Jones!
After the fight, John Jones was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
In defeat, Put Lorlek stepped up to the mic, saying 'You are just lucky today!'.
