The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lau takes a shot right to the bread basket.

enabling Anderson to counter with a crisp jab.
Nice takedown defense from Anderson. No joy for Lau on that attempt.
Lau tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Anderson was well out of range. Poor timing from Lau.

Anderson has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Anderson looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Anderson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Anderson holds on and takes a little breather.
Anderson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Lau in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Anderson has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
