Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tiago Franco (ranked 2501 p4p, 214 weight class) and Chosu Viv (ranked 3917 p4p, 298 weight class). Chosu Viv is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Viv shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Franco pinned against the cage. Franco gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Viv gets a double leg takedown into Franco's guard.

Viv in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Viv working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Franco working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Viv doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Viv manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Franco throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Franco seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
Viv stands up over Franco, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Viv gets to his feet and stands over Franco, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Franco felt that one! Viv unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Franco from any more punishment!
