Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tim Cahill (ranked 4613 p4p, 454 weight class) and Jack Anvile (ranked 6235 p4p, 515 weight class). Jack Anvile has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Darius Henderson and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Anvile misses its intended target.
Anvile misses with a body shot.
Anvile throws out a loose jab but Cahill uses good head movement to avoid it.
Anvile does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
As Anvile tries to get set, Cahill tries to push him back and clinch up but Anvile manages to avoid the attempt.
Cahill dodges the punch combination from Anvile.
A counter left hand to the body from Cahill misses its target.
Cahill slips under a jab from Anvile.
Cahill tests Anvile's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Cahill looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Anvile is fighting off a takedown attempt but Cahill is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Anvile to the mat. Anvile regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Cahill clobbers Anvile with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Cahill drops down looking for an ankle pick but Anvile pulls his leg out and moves away.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Jack Anvile decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
