Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eric Draven (ranked 845 p4p, 100 weight class) and Mustapha Shiit (ranked 994 p4p, 126 weight class). Draven comes to the cage accompanied by For Heavy Metal we will die!. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Franklyn Lucas and David Schapiro.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shiit darts in looking for a takedown but Draven gets double underhooks and turns Shiit into the cage.
Shiit will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Mustapha Shiit seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Draven throws a series of punches but Shiit moves out of range.

Draven has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Shiit has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Shiit goes for a takedown attempt but Draven pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Draven throws a jab when Shiit was well out of range.
Shiit shoots for a double leg takedown but Draven sprawls well. He's pushed Shiit's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Draven seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Shiit fails to land the takedown.
Shiit cracks Draven with an open hand slap.
Draven gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Good leg kick by Draven there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Draven lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Shiit has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Shiit and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Draven moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Draven holds on and takes a little breather.

Draven bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Shiit's guard.

Draven passes into half guard.

Draven decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Draven throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Shiit is trying to drag Draven to the mat but Draven just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Shiit tries to pull guard but Draven holds him up against the cage and eventually Shiit drops back down to his feet.

Draven breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

and Draven counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Draven uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Draven lands with a hook. Shiit tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

After the fight, Eric Draven was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
