Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Wampage Johnson (ranked 485 p4p, 61 weight class) and Thomas Rutherford (ranked 319 p4p, 38 weight class). Johnson comes to the cage accompanied by Come Over (feat. Stylo G). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 32 - 20 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Wampage Johnson!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 18 - 0, fighting out of New York, Thomas Rutherford!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Elvis Blanc and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson stalks Rutherford and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Rutherford's face. Rutherford staggers backwards, shaken.
Rutherford feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Johnson's calf.
Rutherford shoots in and drives through. Johnson sprawls well.
As Rutherford backs away, Johnson returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Johnson misses with an uppercut. Rutherford saw that one coming.
Rutherford throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Johnson takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Johnson avoids the head kick by Rutherford.
Johnson scores with a jab to the head.
Rutherford throws a leg kick but Johnson moved away.
Thomas Rutherford seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rutherford lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Rutherford throws a nice inside leg kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rutherford rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Johnson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Johnson throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Rutherford counters with a leg kick.
Rutherford lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Johnson connects with an inside leg kick.
Rutherford throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Johnson's waist but Johnson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rutherford off to one side.
Rutherford looks to score with a jab to the body but Johnson is just out of range.
Rutherford lands a nice leg kick that just misses Johnson's sensitive parts.

Johnson swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Despite the aggression on Rutherford's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Rutherford shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Johnson but Johnson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Wampage Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thomas Rutherford.
Rutherford slips a straight right by Johnson.
Rutherford connects with a body shot that sends Johnson's belly button to the back.
Rutherford lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Johnson circles away quickly and effectively.
Johnson looks to land a right hand but Rutherford moved out of range.
Rutherford tries a head kick but it misses.
Johnson misses with a body shot
and Rutherford counters with a slapping leg kick.
Johnson lands with an overhand left.
Rutherford gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Rutherford will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
A clash of legs there as Johnson blocks the low kick.
It looked like Johnson wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Rutherford shoots for a double leg takedown but Johnson sprawls well. He's pushed Rutherford's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Rutherford tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Johnson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rutherford moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Wampage Johnson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rutherford fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Johnson avoids a punch combination nicely.
Johnson tests Rutherford's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Johnson showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Rutherford.
Rutherford throws a leg kick
and Johnson counters with a low kick, right behind Rutherford 's knee.
Rutherford fails to land with a series of punches.
The fighters circling - Johnson throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Rutherford cracks Johnson with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Rutherford uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Johnson.

and Johnson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

and Johnson counters with a crisp one two that drops Rutherford! Johnson thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Rutherford to his feet! Rutherford is in big trouble!


Rutherford is rocked!
Rutherford fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Rutherford is still on wobbly legs! Can Johnson finish him?
Rutherford misses with a hook to the body
and Johnson counters with a deadly accurate combination that rocks Rutherford badly! He tries to strike back but Johnson puts an end to that with another precision combo that knocks Rutherford out cold! Oh man, Rutherford will never hear the end of this one!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Wampage Johnson!

A very excited looking Wampage Johnson made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
