Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mickey Munday (ranked 413 p4p, 47 weight class) and John Mills (ranked 537 p4p, 61 weight class). John Mills will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Munday fails in his attempt to clinch.

Munday tightens his grip and picks Mills up, before dumping him to the ground. Mills manages to land in guard.

Mills is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Munday presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Munday is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Munday changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Mills fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Munday had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mills defends it easily.

Munday is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mills defends well.

Munday throws his legs up looking for a submission but Mills uses it to pass to side control.
The referee asks Mills politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Mills prefers to stall for the moment though.
Mills has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Bronko´s Gym. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Mills drops Munday with a straight right hand, right on the button! Mills follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!

During a confident post fight interview, John Mills thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
