Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Besy Jyre (ranked 3455 p4p, 363 weight class) and Ruslan Danilov (ranked 2171 p4p, 245 weight class). Ruslan Danilov has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Besy Jyre!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ruslan Danilov!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Paul Tew and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jyre walks into a stiff left hand from Danilov.
Jyre throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Danilov.
Danilov looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Danilov drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Danilov ducks under a wild hook from Jyre.
Danilov connects with a single shot there.
Danilov misses with a hook. Jyre ducked under it nicely.
Jyre is looking for a counter combo.
Jyre fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Danilov jabs at Jyre's body.
Danilov swings for the body but Jyre moves out of range.
Danilov misses with a head kick.
Jyre shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Danilov sprawls well. Danilov wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jyre gets slowly back to his feet.
Danilov wants to counter with a clinch but Jyre pushes him away.
Jyre takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Danilov shoots in and gets a takedown into Jyre's guard.
Jyre will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

It looked like Jyre was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jyre has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Danilov.
Jyre dives in for a single leg takedown but Danilov sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Horrible takedown attempt by Jyre or perhaps it was just good defense by Danilov, which made it look bad.

Danilov takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Danilov gets caught napping as Jyre dives in and scores a takedown. Danilov manages to retain guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
