Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Feihck Tiote (ranked 1765 p4p, 213 weight class) and Darren Lamb (ranked 1602 p4p, 201 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tiote shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lamb defends it nicely.
Lamb has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Horrible takedown attempt by Tiote or perhaps it was just good defense by Lamb, which made it look bad.
Lamb wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Nice sprawl there from Lamb as Tiote shoots in.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Feihck Tiote. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Tiote tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lamb sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Tiote somewhat.
Tiote closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lamb circles away.
Tiote has his takedown stuffed
and Tiote takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tiote shoots in and drives through. Lamb sprawls well.
Lamb dives in and scores a takedown into Tiote's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Lamb wants to control from the top but Tiote keeps moving.

Lamb throws a sloppy strike and Tiote has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Lamb is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Tiote!

Darren Lamb was interviewed post fight and said 'Baaaaaa... Baaaaaa... Baaaaa... Shit, someone backstage put acid in my drink. I thought I was a lamb.'.
