PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Curtis Lowe (ranked 2738 p4p, 374 weight class) and De Forest Treadwell (ranked 1740 p4p, 260 weight class). Treadwell has chosen God gave me style, I’m coming home mix as his entrance music. The key to victory for Curtis Lowe has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, De Forest Treadwell!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Lou da Vinci and Jorge Garcia.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lowe misses with an attempted mid kick.
Treadwell misses with a wild body shot.
Treadwell misses with a body shot.
Treadwell shoots in for a double leg but Lowe sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Lowe swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
A punch combination from Treadwell misses.
Lowe changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Lowe throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Treadwell stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
A slow jab from Treadwell misses its intended target.
Treadwell cracks Lowe with a good jab.
Treadwell throws a sloppy body shot
and Lowe counters with a nice body shot.
Lowe scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Treadwell looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Lowe!
Lowe on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Lowe tries to get out of the position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Treadwell controls the position from side control.

Treadwell has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Lowe!
Treadwell throwing strikes here but Lowe is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Treadwell lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lowe is wriggling around trying to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lowe tries to lock up and control but Treadwell gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Treadwell breaks from Lowe's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Lowe is desperately trying to improve his position but Treadwell has a good base and remains in mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Treadwell lands a nice shot to the head.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Treadwell cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Lowe is rocked!

Treadwell working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Lowe turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Treadwell off and cradles Lowe's limp body as Treadwell celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). De Forest Treadwell!
A less than humble De Forest Treadwell misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
In defeat, Curtis Lowe stepped up to the mic, saying 'Fuck you Liberal!'.
