Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mario Zambrana (ranked 2448 p4p, 318 weight class) and Aspen Springfield (ranked 2669 p4p, 0 weight class). Zambrana's entrance music is Impact is Imminent. A fine choice. On his way into the cage it seems that Mario Zambrana has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Mario Zambrana seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Zambrana seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.

Zambrana lands a big head kick that sends Springfield tumbling to the mat! Zambrana takes a step backwards and waves Springfield back to his feet - he wants the finish!

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Zambrana's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Zambrana is pushing Springfield up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Springfield.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Zambrana! Springfield is out on his feet! Zambrana rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Springfield is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Springfield is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

A less than humble Mario Zambrana misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
