Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeremy Mcfadden (ranked 7925 p4p, 0 weight class) and Teddy Toivonen (ranked 4038 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcfadden takes a swing at Toivonen's ribcage but misses.
Mcfadden tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Toivonen was well out of range. Poor timing from Mcfadden.

Mcfadden tries to keep at a distance but Toivonen has taken the fight into the clinch.
A right hand to the body from Toivonen.
Toivonen wants to break free but Mcfadden has control.
Mcfadden goes for a takedown in the clinch but Toivonen prevents it.
The referee is keeping an eye on Toivonen - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Toivonen has picked Mcfadden up - he's going for a ride! Toivonen dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Mcfadden throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Toivonen's waist but Toivonen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mcfadden off to one side.

Toivonen has taken the fight to the clinch.
Toivonen told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Toivonen is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Mcfadden throws a big right hand that misses.
Mcfadden throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Toivonen works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Toivonen is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Toivonen stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Toivonen uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mcfadden.

Toivonen shoots in and bounces Mcfadden off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Mcfadden has his feet on Toivonen's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Toivonen goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Toivonen tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Mcfadden manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Toivonen changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mcfadden looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

A close round but Teddy Toivonen will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Mcfadden has his takedown stuffed

and Toivonen moves into the clinch.
Mcfadden is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Toivonen is defending well.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Toivonen holds on and takes a little breather.

Toivonen seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Toivonen working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mcfadden doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mcfadden manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Toivonen sneaks out the side door and pushes Mcfadden away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Mcfadden closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Mcfadden lands in his opponent's guard.

Toivonen scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Toivonen throws a push kick but Mcfadden slaps the foot to one side.

Toivonen throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Mcfadden tries to score a power double leg takedown but Toivonen sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mcfadden somewhat.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Toivonen pushes Mcfadden up against the cage in a clinch.
Mcfadden pushes off an throws an elbow but Toivonen leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Toivonen wants to break free but Mcfadden has control.
Toivonen stops a takedown attempt from Mcfadden.
Mcfadden wants a takedown but no success here.
The referee calls for Toivonen to work.
Toivonen pushes Mcfadden back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Toivonen jumps guard and drags Mcfadden to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Toivonen bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mcfadden's guard.

Well Toivonen has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
