Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shark Attack (ranked 1821 p4p, 280 weight class) and Osama Akharraz (ranked 2157 p4p, 310 weight class). Osama Akharraz will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Osama Akharraz!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akharraz on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Attack. Attack obviously looking to wear him down.

Akharraz forces Attack back against the cage and clinches.
Attack misses with a hook from the clinch.
Attack can't get the takedown.

Akharraz breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Attack shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Akharraz has one foot on Attack's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Akharraz is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Attack dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Akharraz. That did some damage!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Akharraz throws a shot from downtown. Attack moves away and avoids it.
No luck for Attack with that takedown attempt.
Attack looks for the body kick but Akharraz saw that one coming.
Akharraz moves out of range as Attack throws a body kick.
Attack thows a leg kick but Akharraz checks it
and Akharraz counters with a nice uppercut.

It looks like Shark Attack has been cut.
Akharraz throws a right and a left that Attack avoids nicely.

Attack throws a body punch but Akharraz moves out of range.
Attack goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
A countering left hand to the body from Akharraz misses.
Attack misses with a body kick.
Attack shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shark Attack. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Attack gets a double leg takedown into Akharraz's guard.
Akharraz wants to get back to his feet but Attack is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Akharraz has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Attack is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Akharraz escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Attack closes the distance and clinches up with Akharraz, looking for a takedown. Attack pushes Akharraz against the cage but Akharraz circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Attack fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Akharraz to the ground. Attack is now in Akharraz's guard.

Akharraz scrambles and gets back to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A low kick from Attack is predictable there
and Attack takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Attack tries to land a leg kick but Akharraz saw it coming and moves away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Attack looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Akharraz!
Attack prevents Akharraz from escaping the position.

Attack lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Akharraz is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Attack asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Attack scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Akharraz to see if he's OK.

Attack tries for a kimura but Akharraz is defending well.
Akharraz is still in real trouble! Can Attack finish him?
A big shot lands for Attack! That's hurt Akharraz! Will he recover? Attack fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
