Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Grinny Lopez (ranked 1456 p4p, 80 weight class) and Chris Harper (ranked 1249 p4p, 55 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lopez looks to land a right hand but Harper moved out of range.

Harper displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lopez throws out the jab.

Harper moves into the clinch.

Lopez swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Harper doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Lopez tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Harper presses Lopez against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Harper scores with an uppercut up the middle.

Harper tries a body shot but Lopez blocks it.
Harper throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Lopez tries to throw a body punch but Harper avoids it by throwing Lopez back against the cage.

Lopez jumps into guard, dragging Harper to the mat.
Harper must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Harper really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lopez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Lopez working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Harper doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Harper manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
