The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Black.
Black shoots in but Reaves avoids the takedown attempt easily.
An attempted straight right counter from Reaves misses the target.
Black has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Reaves is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Black will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Brian Reaves has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dick Black.

Black is trying hard to land a takedown here. Reaves sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Horrible takedown attempt by Black or perhaps it was just good defense by Reaves, which made it look bad.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nice sprawl there from Reaves as Black shoots in.

Reaves gets caught flat footed, as Black shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Black slips nicely into half guard.
Reaves is staying active underneath Black, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Reaves definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Black throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Black is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Reaves is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
