Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bubba Bizzle (ranked 6221 p4p, 269 weight class) and Jaro Lalla (ranked 3182 p4p, 178 weight class). Jaro Lalla told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bubba Bizzle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Jaro Lalla!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lalla shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bizzle manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Bizzle is pulling down on Lalla's head. It's preventing any offense from Lalla, at least for the moment.
Bizzle is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Lalla is controlling him.
Bizzle is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lalla is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Bizzle is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Bizzle is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Lalla postures up.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Lalla shoots in looking for a takedown. Bizzle tries to sprawl out of it but Lalla keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bizzle manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Lalla tries to keep at a distance but Bizzle has taken the fight into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Lalla is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Bizzle is defending well.
Lalla has Bizzle pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Bizzle manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Bubba Bizzle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jaro Lalla.
Lalla wants a takedown but no success here.
Bizzle with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Lalla gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Bizzle wants to control but Lalla is keeping busy.
Bizzle knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lalla on the ground.

Bizzle is trying to maintain the position but Lalla is very close to passing his half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

No luck for Lalla with that takedown attempt.
Bizzle throws a sloppy head kick and Lalla moves out of range easily.
Lalla closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Bizzle wants to control but Lalla postures up.
Bizzle tries to bench press Lalla off him but Lalla keeps the position.
Lalla is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Bizzle is trying to escape and Lalla transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Bizzle is forced to tap! Nice work there by Lalla! Very nice indeed!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Jaro Lalla!
In his post fight interview, Jaro Lalla started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
