PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jan Snow (ranked 1878 p4p, 85 weight class) and Beckett Bellwether (ranked 2103 p4p, 91 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jan Snow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Beckett Bellwether!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Sam Margolis and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Snow connects with a good right hand that stumbles Bellwether. Bellwether circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Bellwether darts in looking for a takedown but Snow gets double underhooks and turns Bellwether into the cage.
Bellwether takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Snow pulls Bellwether in close to prevent any damage.

Bellwether misses with a hook. Snow ducked under it nicely.
Bellwether gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Snow looks to land a right hand but Bellwether moved out of range.
Bellwether is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Snow with a body shot.
Snow comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Snow is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Snow throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Bellwether sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Bellwether will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Jan Snow has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Beckett Bellwether is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

A slow jab from Snow misses its intended target.
Bellwether looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Snow tests Bellwether's chin there with a solid looking shot.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bellwether shoots for a double leg takedown but Snow sprawls well. He's pushed Bellwether's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Jan Snow has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Beckett Bellwether.
Snow connects with a single shot there.

Snow sends Bellwether crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Snow is motioning to the referee to let Bellwether up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Bellwether closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
