Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dick Stern!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Scarn!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Jonathan Paton and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scarn throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Stern throws a series of punches but Scarn moves out of range.
Nice defenses there by Scarn.
Stern throws a right hand that misses
and Scarn connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Stern closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Stern avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Nice shot lands for Scarn.
Scarn misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Stern throws out a leg kick but Scarn moves out of range and Stern only half commits.
Scarn throws out a counter right but Stern avoids it with no problem.
Scarn defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Stern.
Stern misses with a hook.
Stern takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Stern showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Scarn.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Scarn throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Scarn throws a right hand that misses
and Stern connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Stern just misses with a punch to the body.
A countering left hand to the body from Scarn misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Stern fails with a takedown attempt.
Stern throws out a loose jab but Scarn uses good head movement to avoid it.
Stern throws a sloppy body shot
and Stern takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Scarn pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Stern back to the cage. Scarn follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.


It looks like Dick Stern has been cut.
Stern swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Scarn misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Stern.
Scarn slips a straight right by Stern.
Stern swings away with a body shot that misses
and Scarn counters with a left and a right that stings Stern.
A low kick from Stern is predictable there
and Scarn counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Scarn misses the jab.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Scarn throws out a loose jab but Stern uses good head movement to avoid it.
Scarn on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Scarn closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Stern throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Stern avoids the body shot from Scarn.
Scarn jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Stern throws out a loose jab but Scarn uses good head movement to avoid it.
Scarn throws out a counter right but Stern avoids it with no problem.
Stern throws a right and a left that Scarn avoids nicely.
Stern misses with a body shot.
Scarn wants to land a leg kick but Stern is out of range.
Dick Stern seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Scarn comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Scarn fails with an attempt to clinch.
Scarn will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A little feinted left hand from Stern on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
A looping hook to the body misses from Stern. Scarn does a little dance to reset his feet.
Stern jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Scarn misses with a body kick.
Stern takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Scarn tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Scarn throws a leg kick which misses Stern's front leg but catches the back leg as Stern tries to avoid it.
Stern tries a head kick but it misses.
Scarn throws a combination that misses
and Stern counters with a nice uppercut.
Scarn misses with a wild body shot.
A jab from Stern misses.
Scarn uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Stern.
Scarn wants to counter with a clinch but Stern pushes him away.
Stern swings for the body but Scarn moves out of range.
Scarn let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Scarn throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Stern on the side of the head.
Scarn takes one to the chin there.
Scarn misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Stern counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Stern lunges at Scarn with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Scarn's hand.
Stern uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Scarn.
Stern misses the shot to the body.
Scarn is working the combinations to good effect here.
Scarn misses with a head kick.
Scarn looking to land some kicks to the body here.

Stern lands a nice shot that snaps Scarn's head back.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Stern gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Stern lands an uppercut.
Scarn working some nice short punches in the clinch.


Stern is rocked!
Scarn lands a nice elbow.
Oh Stern is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Clinched against the cage, Scarn lands a big elbow that drops Stern! The ref dives in to save him from more shots - Stern is complaining that he's OK but he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Michael Scarn!
Michael Scarn decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
In defeat, Dick Stern stepped up to the mic, saying 'Well this is a story all about how my life got twist-turned upside down; and I'd like to take a minute just sit right there, I'll tell you all about how I became the Prince of a town called Bel-Air.'.
