Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Lentz (ranked 22223 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Sands (ranked 2332 p4p, 239 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Sands's choice of entrance music: Irish Soldier Song ... Free & Green. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bobby Sands!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sands cracks Lentz with a good jab.
Sands waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Lentz.
Sands shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lentz sprawls well. Lentz wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sands gets slowly back to his feet.
Lentz throws a right hand that misses

and Sands counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Sands.

Sands is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Lentz can't fight it off and eventually Sands manages to take the fight to the floor. Lentz looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Lentz pulls Sands in close to prevent any damage.
Lentz on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Lentz tries to get out of the position.
Sands postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sands is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Lentz is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Lentz has escaped and now he's on top!

Sands is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Lentz won't allow Sands to sweep him here.
Lentz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sands swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Lentz is working hard here to advance position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Sands trying to control the position here.
Sands looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lentz is one step ahead there.
Sands is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Lentz is controlling him.
Lentz won't allow Sands to sweep him here.
Lentz has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Sands is looking for a triangle but Lentz pushes his legs off easily.

Lentz has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Sands to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Lentz is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Sands pulls down on the head and he's put Lentz to sleep! This one is all over!
