Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sylvester Ritter (ranked 949 p4p, 106 weight class) and Harold Harmbe (ranked 1571 p4p, 168 weight class). Ritter's entrance music is Another one Bites the dust. A fine choice. Harmbe is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Boosie Badazz - No Juice. Harold Harmbe told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

With a record of 21 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Harold Harmbe!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Trevor Gratis and Elvis Blanc.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ritter defending well as Harmbe loads up on a big left hand.
Ritter throws a series of punches but Harmbe moves out of range.
Harmbe takes one to the chin there.

It looks like Harold Harmbe has been cut.
The fight stays on the outside here - Harmbe looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Harmbe! But no joy.
Ritter shoots in looking for a takedown. Harmbe tries to sprawl out of it but Ritter keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Harmbe manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

I was talking to Ritter's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Harmbe blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Harmbe tries to land a knee to the head but Ritter blocks with his arms.
Ritter wants to take the fight to the mat but Harmbe manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sylvester Ritter. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Ritter manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Harmbe on his heels. He'll look to pass Harmbe's guard now, I'm sure.
Harmbe bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ritter's guard.

Harmbe stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ritter swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Ritter controls Harmbe momentarily but Harmbe frees himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ritter is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Ritter seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
