The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Amana looks to land a right hand but Kirby moved out of range.
Kirby misses with a few strikes there.
It looked like Amana was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Kirby.
Kirby throws a chopping leg kick but Amana manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Amana tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kirby was well out of range. Poor timing from Amana.
Kirby throws a half hearted mid kick.
A slapping leg kick lands for Kirby.

and Kirby takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Kirby has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Kirby ducks under a wild hook from Amana.

Amana is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kirby.

Kirby will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Amana comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kirby motions for Amana to come forward. Kirby throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Amana throws a looping overhand right but Kirby ducks down to avoid it.
Kirby on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Amana tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kirby was well out of range. Poor timing from Amana.

Kirby lands a jab to Amana's midsection.
Kirby takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Amana scores with a shot to the body.

Kirby thuds his shin into the meat of Amana's side.
Kirby throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Amana's corner calls for a 1-2. Amana obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Amana throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kirby appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Kirby throws a right and a left that Amana avoids nicely.

Amana looks to score with a jab to the body but Kirby is just out of range.

The fighters circling - Amana throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Amana dances in with a quick combination. Kirby is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Amana snaps Kirby's head back. Kirby stumbles backwards against the cage. Amana steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Kirby's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Kirby just didn't come prepared.
