Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sammy Terry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jerry Krakowski!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Ryoma Takatsuka and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Terry. No joy for Krakowski on that attempt.

Krakowski darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Terry trying to control but Krakowski postures up.
Krakowski thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Terry tries to get to full guard but Krakowski has control of the leg.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Krakowski is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Krakowski's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Krakowski is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Terry doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Krakowski.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Terry might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Terry is looking to improve his position but Krakowski isn't that keen on the idea.

Krakowski shoots in for a takedown but Terry shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Krakowski wants to clinch up but Terry keeps it at a distance.
Terry attempts a counter takedown but Krakowski avoids it well and moves away.
Krakowski throws a jab when Terry was well out of range.

Terry shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Krakowski as he avoids it easily.
Krakowski is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Krakowski darts in and clinches Terry up against the cage.

Krakowski escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Krakowski shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Terry but Terry pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Jerry Krakowski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Terry wants to get up but he can't break Krakowski's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Krakowski is on top in guard.


Krakowski drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Krakowski jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Terry has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Krakowski has passed into side control.

Krakowski lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Terry down.
Terry is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Krakowski tries to stand but Terry is controlling his head.

Krakowski wants to stand but Terry has his arm trapped.
Krakowski is staying tight to Terry's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Krakowski is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Terry has escaped the position, nice work there.
You can see the frustration on Terry's face as Krakowski controls the position.
Krakowski tries to advance to mount but can't.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Jerry Krakowski showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Terry tries to keep at a distance but Krakowski has taken the fight into the clinch.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Krakowski is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Terry dives in and grabs Krakowski's left leg, looking for a takedown. Krakowski pushes down on Terry's head and hops out.
Krakowski misses with a takedown attempt - Terry sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Krakowski stuffs the takedown attempt from Terry. Terry gets slowly back to his feet.
Krakowski goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
As Krakowski tries to get set, Terry tries to push him back and clinch up but Krakowski manages to avoid the attempt.

Krakowski fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Sammy Terry has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jerry Krakowski.

Terry shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Terry tries to stand but Krakowski is controlling from the bottom.
Krakowski is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Krakowski manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Terry manages to get himself to full guard.

Jerry Krakowski is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Krakowski has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Well Krakowski has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
