Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sammmy Kilbach (ranked 2146 p4p, 284 weight class) and Thomas Bolleke (ranked 1699 p4p, 223 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sammmy Kilbach!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Thomas Bolleke!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Steve Erwin and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bolleke connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.


It looks like Sammmy Kilbach has been cut.
Bolleke throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kilbach sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Bolleke lands a nice shot that snaps Kilbach's head back.
Kilbach takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Bolleke misses with a shot to the body
and Kilbach counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Bolleke throws the left hand but Kilbach avoids the punch easily.
Bolleke defending well as Kilbach loads up on a big left hand.

Bolleke clinches up against the cage.
Bolleke has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Kilbach avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Kilbach misses with a hook from the clinch.
Kilbach misses with a short punch on the inside.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Bolleke.
Kilbach stops a takedown attempt from Bolleke.
Kilbach lands with a left to the head.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Bolleke has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kilbach misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Bolleke misses with some punches.

Bolleke is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Kilbach can't fight it off and eventually Bolleke manages to take the fight to the floor. Kilbach looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Bolleke passes easily into side control. Nice work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bolleke controls the position.

Bolleke is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Kilbach is trying to escape and Bolleke transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Kilbach is forced to tap! Nice work there by Bolleke! Very nice indeed!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Thomas Bolleke!
