Bandit comes to the cage accompanied by Mardial - Hypegone ft. Gbrand. Brian Claremont has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brian Claremont!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Reed Andrews and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bandit shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Claremont counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Bandit tries for a takedown but Claremont circles away easily
and Claremont counters with a three punch combo that has Bandit backing up. Bandit nods at Claremont to acknowledge the strikes.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Claremont is pulling down on Bandit's head. It's preventing any offense from Bandit, at least for the moment.

We've been hearing that Bandit has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Claremont really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bandit. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Claremont wriggles free and stands up.
Bandit darts in looking for a takedown but Claremont gets double underhooks and turns Bandit into the cage.
Claremont is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

and Claremont counters with a nice uppercut.
Bandit gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Claremont cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Bandit misses with a takedown attempt - Claremont sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Bandit closes the distance and clinches up with Claremont, looking for a takedown. Bandit pushes Claremont against the cage but Claremont circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
