PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Devin Watkins (ranked 3278 p4p, 345 weight class) and Tigran Minasian (ranked 2915 p4p, 311 weight class). Watkins kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is What Happened to That Boi. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Minasian misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Watkins.
Watkins misses with a few strikes there.

Watkins has managed to clinch.

Watkins shoots in for a takedown but Minasian shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Minasian has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Watkins is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Watkins takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Watkins closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Minasian ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Minasian no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Minasian bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Watkins's guard.

Watkins tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Minasian manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Minasian walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Watkins drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Minasian swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Watkins's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
