Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Danny Zane (ranked 5047 p4p, 192 weight class) and Ricardo Vontreal (ranked 5894 p4p, 209 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ricardo Vontreal!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Ackerman and Richard Clark.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zane scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Zane looks to throw the jab but Vontreal is out of range.
Zane's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Vontreal connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Zane scrambles back to his feet.
Vontreal moves out of range as Zane strikes.
Zane scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Vontreal looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Vontreal lands an overhand right.

It looks like Danny Zane has been cut.
Zane misses with a double jab
and Zane takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Zane slips a straight right by Vontreal.
A little feinted left hand from Zane on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Zane seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Vontreal rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Zane counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Vontreal connects with a superb combination that knocks Zane out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Vontreal before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Zane!

A relieved looking Ricardo Vontreal thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
