Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Danny Greene (ranked 2459 p4p, 287 weight class) and Killian Armstrong (ranked 2491 p4p, 295 weight class). Killian Armstrong will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Danny Greene!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Killian Armstrong!
The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Donatello Bradman and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Greene with a lazy takedown attempt
enabling Armstrong to counter with a crisp jab.
Armstrong lands a nice hook to Greene's body. Greene takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Greene takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Greene tries to clinch there but Armstrong circles away.
Armstrong displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Greene.
Greene takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Armstrong lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Greene's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Armstrong connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Greene scrambles back to his feet.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Armstrong stuns Greene with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Greene shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Danny Greene. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Greene shoots in and bounces Armstrong off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Greene with a flurry of punches that miss.
Greene loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Armstrong working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Greene.
Greene postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Greene distracts Armstrong with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Greene has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Greene trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Greene throws a strike but Armstrong rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.


Armstrong got a little sloppy there for a moment and Greene has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Armstrong has managed to get both his arms back between Greene's legs - danger averted.

Greene is looking for a triangle but Armstrong pushes his legs off easily.
Armstrong won't allow Greene to sweep him here.

Greene working for submissions but it's allowed Armstrong to get to half guard.
Armstrong seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Greene does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Armstrong trying to control from half guard but Greene is working away.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Killian Armstrong dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Greene takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Armstrong changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Greene takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Armstrong lunges at Greene with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Greene's hand.

Armstrong connects with a right hand. Greene shakes it off.


Greene is rocked!
Greene takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Oh Greene is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Armstrong moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Greene! Armstrong continues to tee off on Greene, landing with a left and a right! Armstrong connects with a right hand that leaves Greene sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Armstrong!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Killian Armstrong!
A very excited looking Killian Armstrong rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
