Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sebastian Shot (ranked 1648 p4p, 165 weight class) and Brian Fantana (ranked 2241 p4p, 199 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 19 - 2, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sebastian Shot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 11 - 2, fighting out of New York, Brian Fantana!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Trevor Gratis and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fantana connects with a nice looking jab.
Fantana missing with a left hand there. Shot was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Fantana misses the shot to the body.
Shot was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Fantana scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Fantana fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Shot with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Fantana to score with a decent uppercut.
Fantana has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Fantana uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Shot.
Fantana lands a glancing blow to the side of Shot's head.
Fantana slips under a jab from Shot.
Nice uppercut lands for Fantana. That snapped Shot's head back.
Shot lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Fantana comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Fantana shoots in for a takedown but Shot shows good takedown defense.
Fantana rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Shot moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Fantana tries to score a power double leg takedown but Shot sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Fantana somewhat.

Shot misses with a double jab.
Fantana scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Fantana throws a nice looking combination but Shot bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Fantana looking to score a takedown here. Shot is defending well but Fantana drives through and ends up in Shot's guard.

Shot is looking for a triangle but Fantana pushes his legs off easily.
Fantana slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Fantana's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fantana tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Fantana has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Fantana wants to lay and pray for a moment but Shot keeps working.
Shot is looking to reverse the position.

Shot doesn't manage to clinch there - Fantana circles away.

Fantana seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Shot does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Shot has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Fantana is working away from the top position though.

Fantana wants to take a breather but Shot is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shot on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Fantana tries to pass the half guard into mount. Shot knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Fantana has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Shot defend it? Fantana steps over the head and cranks it - Shot is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Fantana!

A relieved looking Brian Fantana thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
