PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Vegas (ranked 3773 p4p, 386 weight class) and Edvard Grieg (ranked 4330 p4p, 430 weight class). Vegas comes to the cage accompanied by Ace Of Spades by Motorhead. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grieg throws the left hand but Vegas avoids the punch easily.
We've been told by Vegas's head coaches at Double XX that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Vegas connects with a right hand. Grieg shakes it off.

Vegas throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Both fighters circling a little - Vegas finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Grieg closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Grieg looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Vegas with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Grieg got a little sloppy there for a moment and Vegas has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Grieg has managed to get both his arms back between Vegas's legs - danger averted.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Grieg looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Vegas can't hide his disappointment, as Grieg celebrates the victory.
