The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rasputin ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Embiid uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Rasputin.

Embiid throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Embiid throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Rasputin tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Embiid is in Rasputin's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rasputin can do anything to dispel that myth.
Embiid stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rasputin swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Rasputin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Embiid. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Rasputin wants to stand but Embiid is controlling the position.
Embiid slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Embiid fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Rasputin checks it well.

Embiid darts in looking for a takedown but Rasputin gets double underhooks and turns Embiid into the cage.

Dimochka Rasputin was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
