And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Flukey Stokes!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Paul Tew and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stokes looks to throw the jab but Emelianenko is out of range.

and Stokes cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

letting Stokes counter with a right hand.

Emelianenko tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Stokes defends well and Emelianenko ends up having to push Stokes into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Flukey Stokes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Stokes counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The crowd cheers as Stokes lands an impressive looking overhand right. Emelianenko doesn't seem phased though.

Flukey Stokes is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Stokes swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

and Stokes counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Stokes drops Emelianenko with a beautiful combination! Emelianenko stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Stokes is looking for the KO!

and Stokes cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Flukey Stokes dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Emelianenko takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Stokes throws the left hand but Emelianenko avoids the punch easily.
Stokes throws a big shot that misses.
Stokes scores with a decent looking hook.
Oh Emelianenko is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Stokes with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Emelianenko closes this distance looking for a takedown but Stokes circles away.
Emelianenko seems to have got his legs back now.
Stokes uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Emelianenko.

Flukey Stokes seems to be getting the better of the standup.

That kick from Stokes tenderised Emelianenko's leg. Emelianenko is trying to keep his angry face on.
Stokes connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Emelianenko momentarily.
Stokes moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Emelianenko. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

and Stokes makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Stokes uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Emelianenko has time to react.
This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Emelianenko might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.

Stokes stuffs the takedown.
Stokes fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Emelianenko manages to avoid it.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Emelianenko is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Stokes lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Emelianenko circles away quickly and effectively.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Stokes, as that shot connected.
