Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ritchie Souza (ranked 2478 p4p, 285 weight class) and One Fortytwo (ranked 2932 p4p, 326 weight class). Souza comes to the cage accompanied by Gwen Stefani-Luxurious. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Souza darts in looking for a takedown but Fortytwo gets double underhooks and turns Souza into the cage.
Souza looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Souza walks into a left hand.
Souza tries for a takedown but Fortytwo circles away easily
and Fortytwo counters with a nice uppercut.
Nice body punch from Fortytwo.
Fortytwo smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Fortytwo's jab looks to have found its range, popping Souza under the eye.
A chopping leg kick lands by Fortytwo.
Souza shoots for a takedown but Fortytwo saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ritchie Souza. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Souza misses with a hook to the body
and Fortytwo counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Souza shoots in looking for a takedown. Fortytwo tries to sprawl out of it but Souza keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Fortytwo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Souza throws the kick towards the body but Fortytwo avoids it.
Fortytwo lands with a hook. Souza tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Souza is trying hard to land a takedown here. Fortytwo sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Fortytwo scores with a head kick. Souza tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

An inside leg kick lands from Fortytwo.
Souza throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Fortytwo was covering up waiting for the punch and Souza finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Souza wants to control from the top but Fortytwo keeps moving.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Souza misses with an uppercut.
Souza takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Fortytwo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Fortytwo steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Souza.
Souza takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Fortytwo needs to keep his hands up - Souza had a free shot at his head there.
Fortytwo keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Souza takes a jab right on the kisser.
Souza shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Fortytwo sprawls well. Fortytwo wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Souza gets slowly back to his feet.
Fortytwo has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
A decent looking cross lands there for Fortytwo.
Souza sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Fortytwo blocks a head kick by Souza.
Souza is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Fortytwo.
Fortytwo appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Souza shoots in for a double leg but Fortytwo sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Fortytwo is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Souza had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Fortytwo uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Souza.
Fortytwo moves into range and connects with a jab.
Fortytwo chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Souza goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Souza takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Souza is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Fortytwo's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
Souza has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Fortytwo.
Souza takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Fortytwo fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Souza looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Good standup being displayed there by Fortytwo as he connects with a hook.
Fortytwo dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Souza. That did some damage!
Souza shoots for a double leg takedown but Fortytwo sprawls well. He's pushed Souza's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Fortytwo is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Fortytwo gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Souza with a flurry of punches that miss.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
One Fortytwo dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Fortytwo lands a nice hook to Souza's body. Souza takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

and Fortytwo counters with a nice uppercut.
One Fortytwo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fortytwo stuns Souza with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Souza takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
No luck for Souza with that takedown attempt.

Souza has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Fortytwo finds it's way round the side to connect with Souza's head.

One Fortytwo seems to be getting the better of the standup.

and Fortytwo counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Fortytwo jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Souza is rocked!

Fortytwo throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Oh Souza is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Souza throws a hook to the side of Fortytwo's head but Fortytwo sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Fortytwo connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Fortytwo circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Souza to the canvas! Souza doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Fortytwo keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). One Fortytwo!
