Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sparring Fighter 1 (ranked 6304 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alen Zalac (ranked 20508 p4p, 0 weight class). Fighter 1 comes to the cage accompanied by Lou Reed - The day John Kennedy Died. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zalac swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Fighter 1 throws a sloppy head kick and Zalac moves out of range easily.
Zalac throws a counter combo.
Zalac fails with a takedown attempt.
A head kick misses from Fighter 1.
Fighter 1 walks into a stiff left hand from Zalac.
Zalac takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Zalac throws a hook but Fighter 1 blocks it.

Fighter 1 throws a sloppy head kick and Zalac moves out of range easily.
Fighter 1 throws a nice head kick!

It looks like Alen Zalac has been cut.

Zalac has closed the distance and engaged Fighter 1 in a clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Fighter 1 breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Fighter 1 throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A jab from Zalac misses.
Zalac takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Fighter 1 drops Zalac with a big left hand and mounts him. Zalac is in big trouble!

Zalac is rocked!
Fighter 1 controlling his opponent.
Zalac is still in real trouble! Can Fighter 1 finish him?
Zalac seems to have recovered his senses.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Fighter 1 stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Fighter 1 throws a head kick but Zalac moves out of range.
Zalac takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Zalac gets the takedown into side control.

Fighter 1 sneaks out the side door and pushes Zalac away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Fighter 1 throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Zalac stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Fighter 1 follows into mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Fighter 1 is standing up, even though he is in mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Zalac misses with a straight left.

Fighter 1 lands a big shot that drops Zalac! Can he finish him?
Fighter 1 not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Fighter 1 stands up and waves to Zalac to follow him.
Zalac throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Fighter 1 waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Zalac. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Zalac to the canvas! Can he finish him!?

That has opened up Alen Zalac's cut even more.

Fighter 1 stands and steps away. Zalac gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Zalac drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Fighter 1! Zalac is out on his feet! Fighter 1 rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Zalac is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Zalac is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
