The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonzalez's jab looks to have found its range, popping Anderson under the eye.

Gonzalez throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Anderson.

enabling Gonzalez to counter with a crisp jab.
Anderson misses the shot to the body.
Despite the aggression on Gonzalez's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Gonzalez dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Anderson. That did some damage!
Anderson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Gonzalez throws a series of punches but Anderson moves out of range.
Anderson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Anderson just misses with a punch to the body.
Gonzalez lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Anderson backs up against the cage.
Anderson feints a jab promting Gonzalez to slip. Anderson then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Gonzalez slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Gonzalez lands with an uppercut that bounces Anderson off the cage and back into range.
A low kick from Anderson is predictable there
and Gonzalez counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Arn Anderson's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Anderson throws a leg kick but Gonzalez sees it coming and moves out of range.
Gonzalez has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Anderson misses with a body shot.
Gonzalez throws out a counter right but Anderson avoids it with no problem.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Gonzalez throws a head kick that Anderson semi-blocks.

Anderson is looking to wear down Gonzalez with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Anderson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Gonzalez lands a big head kick that sends Anderson tumbling to the mat! Gonzalez takes a step backwards and waves Anderson back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Anderson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gonzalez.
Gonzalez circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Anderson tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Gonzalez wins by KO!
