Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nick Holey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Armel Vidal!
The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Eliza Hachem and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holey fails with the takedown
and Vidal moves into the clinch.
Vidal makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Vidal has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Holey is trying to keep an underhook but Vidal manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Vidal stands up and beckons Holey to join him on the feet.
Vidal scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Vidal stuffs the takedown.
Vidal lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Holey at a distance.
Holey closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Vidal did well to prevent Holey getting side control.
Vidal pushes Holey off and gets back to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Vidal moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
It looks like Nick Holey has been cut.
Vidal lunges at Holey with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Holey's hand.
Holey fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nick Holey. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Vidal has closed the distance and engaged Holey in a clinch.
Vidal lands a shoulder strike.
Vidal has hold of one of Holey's legs. Holey is fighting the takedown attempt but Vidal gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Vidal trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Holey is looking for a triangle but Vidal pushes his legs off easily.
Vidal trying to stand up but can't free himself from Holey's guard.

Vidal drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Holey dives on top into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Vidal looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Vidal is trying to keep Holey in close.
Holey stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vidal swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Holey wants to control from the top but Vidal keeps moving.
Vidal is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Holey in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Holey looking to sit in guard and control but Vidal gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Vidal is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Holey could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Vidal trying to control the position from guard on top but Holey is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Vidal lying in Holey's guard like a wet fish here, stalling away. Holey decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! Vidal taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
