Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sampson Shain (ranked 3373 p4p, 363 weight class) and Fujii Yusuke (ranked 3443 p4p, 369 weight class). Sampson Shain had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Alan Glass and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A solid body kick from Yusuke.
Yusuke misses with a body punch
and Shain counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Yusuke fakes the leg kick and cracks Shain in the body.
Shain takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Shain is looking to counter punch.
Yusuke rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Shain counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
A looping hook to the body misses from Yusuke. Shain does a little dance to reset his feet.
Shain uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Yusuke.

Yusuke punishes Shain's body with a nice straight punch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Yusuke shoots in for a takedown but Shain shows good takedown defense.

As Yusuke looks to move away, Shain throws a big counter combo but Yusuke just gets out of the way.

A little feinted left hand from Shain on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Shain takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

and Shain counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Yusuke is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Shain pushes Yusuke back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
