The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mills misses with a low kick.
Bickle keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Bickle displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Mills throws out the jab.
Mills throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Mills cracks Bickle with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Bickle takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Bickle throws a series of punches but Mills moves out of range.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Mills! But no joy.
Bickle throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Bickle looks to score with a jab to the body but Mills is just out of range.

Mills bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Bickle's head backwards.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Mills closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Bickle gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Mills.
Mills uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bickle.
Mills defending well as Bickle loads up on a big left hand.
Bickle misses with an uppercut. Mills saw that one coming.
Mills misses with a looping left.
Mills circles away from the clinch attempt.
Bickle misses with a few strikes there.
Bickle misses with a wild combination.
Bickle just misses with a punch to the body.
Bickle scores with a jab to the jaw.
Bickle ducks right into an uppercut from Mills.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bickle takes one on the button.
Henry Bickle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bickle tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Bickle misses with a straight left.
A clash of legs there as Bickle blocks the low kick.

Mills drops Bickle with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Bickle looks back up at him and smiles so Mills waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Bickle is rocked!
Mills fakes the leg kick and throws a superman punch. It's knocked Bickle out cold! Brutal finish!

After winning the bout, John Mills thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
