The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Claude tries to clinch but Pines is having none of it.
Pines shoots in looking for a takedown but Claude manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Pines's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Pines closes the distance and clinches up with Claude, looking for a takedown. Pines pushes Claude against the cage but Claude circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Pines shoots in but no luck this time.
Jean Claude has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of OJ Pines.

Claude moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Claude has taken the fight to the clinch.

Pines goes for a takedown attempt but Claude pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Claude swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Pines.
Pines takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Claude is looking to clinch but Pines is avoiding it.
Pines will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Claude throws a sloppy head kick and Pines moves out of range easily.

Pines is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Pines has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Claude seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Pines can turn it around.
