PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kirill Belyakov (ranked 5951 p4p, 493 weight class) and Levka Botkin (ranked 6121 p4p, 508 weight class). Belyakov comes into the arena with Misha Mavashi - Moya krepost blaring out of the sound system. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Levka Botkin!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, William Gold and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Botkin dodges the punch combination from Belyakov.
Belyakov throws a looping overhand right but Botkin ducks down to avoid it.
Botkin now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Botkin takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Belyakov throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Botkin unleashes a big counter combination but Belyakov bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Botkin uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Belyakov.

It looks like Levka Botkin has been cut.
Kirill Belyakov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Belyakov connects with a good right hand that stumbles Botkin. Botkin circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Botkin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Belyakov moves away.
Belyakov throws a right and a left that Botkin avoids nicely.
Botkin looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Belyakov drops Botkin with a naaaaasty hook - Botkin is in real trouble here! Belyakov dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kirill Belyakov!
A less than humble Kirill Belyakov misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
