PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Schmorgen Biscuit (ranked 1191 p4p, 47 weight class) and Naoise Durnin (ranked 1105 p4p, 56 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Durnin lands a glancing blow to the side of Biscuit's head.

It looks like Schmorgen Biscuit has been cut.

Durnin gets caught napping as Biscuit dives in and scores a takedown. Durnin manages to retain guard.

Durnin looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Biscuit drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Biscuit jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Biscuit stands up over Durnin, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Biscuit stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Durnin swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Biscuit won't allow Durnin to sweep him here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Durnin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Biscuit. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Biscuit looking to sit in guard and control but Durnin gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Durnin is looking to stand up but Biscuit won't let him.
Biscuit is pulling down on Durnin's head to control his posture.
Durnin would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Durnin wants to control from the top but Biscuit keeps moving.

Biscuit not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Biscuit is looking to cinch up a triangle. Durnin throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Biscuit's body to avoid the submission. Biscuit has instead reached around Durnin's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Biscuit arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
