The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jack throws a nice inside leg kick.

Monroe gets tackled into the cage by Jack. Jack maintains the clinch.

Jack has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Monroe is trying to keep an underhook but Jack manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Monroe tries to roll over but Jack keeps him under control.
Monroe trying to control but Jack postures up.
Monroe is looking to improve his position.

Jack is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Jack landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jack is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Monroe is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Jack perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Jack has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Monroe is trying to get back to full guard.
Jack seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Monroe is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Jack pulls his head out easily.
Monroe wants to improve his position but Jack is controlling well.

Jack is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Monroe is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
