Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mohammad Dunlap (ranked 24452 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dustin Sommer (ranked 5745 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dustin Sommer!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Daniel Bishop and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sommer misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Dunlap misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Sommer! But no joy.
Sommer throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Dunlap dodges the punch combination from Sommer.
A right-left combo lands from Sommer.

Dunlap has closed the distance and engaged Sommer in a clinch.

Dunlap breaks from the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sommer scores with a sloppy right hand. Dunlap should have avoided that one.

Sommer closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Dunlap did well to prevent Sommer getting side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sommer wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dunlap keeps working.

Sommer seems to be working for a kimura but Dunlap defends the submission attempt.
Dunlap knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sommer on the ground.

Sommer passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Dunlap!

Sommer has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Dunlap tries to reverse the position but Sommer maintains control.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Dunlap is trying to escape the mount.

Sommer is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!

Sommer gets a takedown into half guard.
Sommer looks winded!
Sommer works his foot free and advances to mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sommer swings away with a body shot that misses

so Dunlap counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Sommer has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Dunlap has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Sommer is looking to control Dunlap's arms but Dunlap gets an underhook and turns him. Now Sommer has his back to the cage.

Sommer drags the fight down to the ground.
Dunlap looking to pass the guard.
Sommer keeping moving, preventing Dunlap from controlling successfully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sommer looking to control.

Dunlap stands up from Sommer's guard - Dunlap perhaps looking for a knockout.
A thudding body kick lands there by Sommer!

Dunlap clinches with his opponent.
Sommer has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Dunlap escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Dustin Sommer is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Sommer shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Sommer showed some decent athleticism there.
Sommer is breathing heavily.
Dunlap regains full guard. Nicely done.
Sommer trying to control but Dunlap is working from the bottom.

Dunlap is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Sommer wants to control from the top but Dunlap keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Dunlap gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Sommer to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Sommer is pushing down on Dunlap's leg trying to pass to half guard. Dunlap is fighting to maintain full guard but Sommer has managed to sneak the leg through.
Dunlap makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Dunlap.
Dunlap wants to sweep but no luck.
Dunlap bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sommer's guard.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Sommer. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Dunlap is working Sommer over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Dunlap makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Dunlap has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Dunlap is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Dunlap has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Sommer is proving hard to escape from.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Dunlap will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Sommer is trying to control the position but Dunlap postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Dustin Sommer will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Sommer gets tackled into the cage by Dunlap. Dunlap maintains the clinch.

Dunlap escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Dunlap drives through and clinches with Sommer against the cage.

Sommer pulls guard.

Dunlap has gone for a leg lock! Sommer slips out almost immediately though and dives into Dunlap's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sommer stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Sommer looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Dunlap!
Sommer takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Sommer in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Dunlap sneaks back into half guard.

Sommer in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Dunlap tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Sommer!
