Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lauro Turturro (ranked 308 p4p, 44 weight class) and Tchalla Heritageaka (ranked 977 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Lauro Turturro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tchalla Heritageaka!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Sandra Marshall and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heritageaka fails to land the takedown.
Turturro defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Heritageaka.

Turturro shoots in and bounces Heritageaka off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Heritageaka is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Turturro has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Turturro trying to control the position from guard on top but Heritageaka is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Turturro pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Heritageaka is keeping the position for now.
Heritageaka really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Turturro. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Turturro wants to pass the guard but Heritageaka is keeping the position.
Heritageaka looking to hit a scissor sweep but Turturro is one step ahead there.
Heritageaka is still trying to improve position.

Turturro stays in close to Heritageaka's body and controls the position.
Turturro works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Turturro looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Heritageaka wants to control but Turturro is keeping busy.
Heritageaka wants to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Heritageaka won't allow Turturro to pass to mount.

Turturro is trying to work for a kimura but Heritageaka is defending well.
Turturro wants to take a breather but Heritageaka is having none of it.
Heritageaka gets back to full guard.
Heritageaka keeping moving, preventing Turturro from controlling successfully.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Heritageaka tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Heritageaka bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Turturro's guard.

Heritageaka passes into half guard.
Turturro tries to roll over but Heritageaka keeps him under control.
Heritageaka is thwarting Turturro's attempts to control the position.
Heritageaka slows the pace down in half guard.

Turturro wants to improve his position but Heritageaka is controlling well.

Well, if Heritageaka is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

It looks like Heritageaka might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Heritageaka is looking to advance position but Turturro won't allow it.
Turturro is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Heritageaka controlling the pace.
Turturro wants to control but Heritageaka is keeping busy.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Turturro is trying to get back to full guard.
Turturro is looking to control Heritageaka's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Turturro avoid being mounted?
Heritageaka controlling the action here.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Turturro works his way to full guard. Good work.

Heritageaka avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Heritageaka tries to free his leg and advance position but Turturro is retaining full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lauro Turturro dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Turturro stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Turturro wants it to stay on the feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Heritageaka wants to sweep but no luck.
Heritageaka keeping full guard, as Turturro tries to pass.
Heritageaka can't keep his opponent in guard - Turturro advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Heritageaka is looking for a sweep. Turturro is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Turturro is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Heritageaka defends it well.

Turturro is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Turturro is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Heritageaka is just riding it out for now. Turturro eventually gives up the hold.

Turturro is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Heritageaka is trying to escape and Turturro transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Heritageaka is forced to tap! Nice work there by Turturro! Very nice indeed!
