Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between DJ Kat (ranked 3565 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Butabi (ranked 374 p4p, 0 weight class). Butabi has chosen Make That Money as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kat checks a leg kick nicely.

Butabi moves into range and clinches up with Kat.

Butabi blocks an uppercut.
A left hand lands to the body for Butabi.
Kat lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Kat fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Kat tries a body shot but Butabi blocks it.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Butabi has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Kat tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Butabi's elbow.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Butabi is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Kat frees his head nicely. Oh but Butabi has switched to an armbar! Kat is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
