Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Alyssa Summers and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hamman ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lassiter moves away.
Hamman misses the shot to the body.
Hamman looks to throw the jab but Lassiter is out of range.
Hamman displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lassiter .
Hamman misses with a leg kick
and Lassiter counters with a one-two to the body.
Lassiter swats away the attempt to clinch by Hamman.
Hamman stuffs the takedown attempt from Lassiter . Lassiter gets slowly back to his feet.
Hamman half committed to a counter leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Lassiter turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Lassiter manages to end up in side control.
Hamman bucks up and tries to throw Lassiter off but instead Lassiter has got his back!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hamman tries to escape but Lassiter has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Lassiter is landing with strikes. Hamman can't take much more of this.
I really don't envy Hamman right now.
Hamman trying to control the hands but Lassiter breaks the grip.
Lassiter slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Lassiter throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Hamman!
Hamman is really stuck here.
Lassiter has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Hamman is in real trouble here. Lassiter gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Hamman is tapping out! Lassiter wins by rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Avion Lassiter !
