Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Braxton Hernando (ranked 4863 p4p, 355 weight class) and General Bushido (ranked 4314 p4p, 330 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hernando is looking to clinch but Bushido is avoiding it.
Bushido lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Bushido shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hernando sprawls well. Hernando wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bushido gets slowly back to his feet.
Hernando throws a leg kick but Bushido sees it coming and moves out of range.

Bushido closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

We've been hearing good reports from Hernando's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Hernando lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Bushido has his foot on Hernando's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hernando works his way back into a safe position though.

Hernando rolls with it to try and escape but Bushido cranks on the arm and Hernando is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

General Bushido decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
